If you have searched for a way to manage App Store reviews, two names come up constantly: AppFollow and Appbot. Both are established, capable platforms. Both are also built for teams, and priced like it. Here is how they compare with CommentAssist, a $10-a-month service that does one narrower job. Disclosure: CommentAssist is our product.

AppFollow: the operations platform
AppFollow's strength is workflow. Auto-reply rules, tagging, routing reviews into a help desk, team permissions, multiple apps and stores in one place. For a publisher with a support team answering hundreds of reviews a week, that structure is the product. For a single developer it is mostly configuration you will set up once and never touch again, behind a sales conversation before you see a price.
Appbot: the insights platform
Appbot is strongest at understanding reviews at scale: sentiment over time, topic clustering, what changed after a release. Replying exists, but replying from inside Appbot and AI-drafted replies sit on the Large plan, from $219 a month. If your question is "what are thousands of users telling us", Appbot answers it well. If your question is "who replies to the eight reviews we got this month", you are paying for an analytics team you do not have.
CommentAssist: the reply service
CommentAssist does one thing. It checks your App Store reviews daily, drafts a reply to each new one as the developer, in the reviewer's own language, and emails you. You approve, edit, or ask for a rewrite, and it posts. It never posts on its own. There is no dashboard you have to remember to open, which is deliberate: the failure mode for most small developers is not writing the reply, it is noticing the review in the first place.
What it does not do, plainly: no Google Play yet, no analytics, no ASO, no team routing. If you need any of those, one of the two above is the better buy.
